LA WASS – Social Program Statistics and Resource Location Map

This map was created by the Data Analysis and Visualization team at the Kathleen Babineaux Blanco Public Policy Center to aid The Louisiana Workforce and Social Services Reform Task Force (LA WASS) in their mission to integrate and modernize the state’s fragmented social programs and citizen resources. This visualization provides quick and easy access to a wealth of social statistics and geographic information for the State of Louisiana.

  • DCFS: Department of Children and Family Services
  • FITAP: Family Independence Temporary Assistance Program (a DCFS program)
  • KCSP: Kinship Care Subsidy Program (a DCFS program)
  • LWDB: Local Workforce Development Board
  • SNAP: Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (U.S. Department of Agriculture program)
